Product information and cosmetic safety documentation for products intended for the European Union market — including products not developed by Labderma.
The Product Information File (PIF) is the technical file that must be available for a cosmetic product placed on the EU market. It includes the product description, the Cosmetic Product Safety Report, information on manufacturing and GMP compliance, supporting evidence for claims where relevant, and the other information required by the cosmetics legislation.
The Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) is the formal safety assessment of the cosmetic product. It considers the formula, exposure, toxicological information, microbiological quality, impurities, packaging and other data relevant to safe use.
We also prepare or review documentation for existing products and for products manufactured outside the European Union. We first assess the available formula, raw-material specifications, packaging information, GMP documentation and test reports. If information is missing, we identify what needs to be obtained before the safety assessment can be completed.
No. The CPSR is the safety report and forms one part of the wider PIF.
Yes, provided sufficiently reliable technical information is available for assessment.
Send us the formula and the documentation you already have. We will first identify what is complete, what is missing and what has to be resolved before the product can be documented for the EU market. Related: Stability testing · Challenge test · CPNP notification
